About Me
Amedzake Vincent is a passionate communications professional with a robust academic background and growing experience in public relations, journalism, digital marketing, and communication for development. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a specialization in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), now the Institute of Journalism at the University of Media, Arts, and Communication (UniMAC-IJ). Vincent has consistently excelled academically, earning top honors and scholarships for his achievements.
Vincent’s professional journey spans various sectors, including higher education, research institutions, media organizations, and governmental agencies. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist at the Public Affairs Directorate of the University of Ghana, he demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills in managing comprehensive news coverage, coordinating media relations efforts, and providing communication support to the College of Basic and Applied Sciences (CBAS) and various departments, centers, and University-wide initiatives
In addition to his role at the University of Ghana, Vincent actively contributes to the Centre for Migration Studies at the University of Ghana, the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI), a World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence, and the Network of Women in Growth Ghana (NEWIG Ghana), where he leverages his expertise in communication strategy development, social media management, and project communication to advance their missions.
Vincent’s commitment to research is evident through his involvement in various research projects, focusing on internal communication, social media, and agricultural communication. He served as an enumerator for Ghana’s Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) USA, which collaborated on surveys on governance and urbanization in Ghana. He has also gained over three years of instructional experience as a teaching assistant at GIJ, providing support to students and facilitating interactive learning experiences.
Beyond his professional and academic endeavors, Vincent engages in voluntary service. He is a team member for Catholic Trends, an online Catholic news portal promoting the new evangelization mission of the Church. He is also an active member of several professional associations and enjoys mentoring, volunteering, and tutoring.
With a diverse skill set encompassing public relations, event management, digital marketing, data analysis, photography, and multimedia journalism. Vincent is poised to contribute significantly to organizations seeking to enhance their communication strategies and outreach efforts.
